Hello everyone, Warbringer was really looking forward to playing Obscene Extreme this summer, it's a great fest we've been looking forward to playing. We planned to spend the summer in Europe again but regrettably and unfortunately due to a lack of other festival opportunites and tour dates to sustain the band Warbringer can't afford to make it to Europe this festival season. D.R.I. - comeback of the legend!!!

D.R.I. - DIRTY ROTTEN IMBECILES

D.R.I. are coming back to Europe after 8 long years and are going to play an exclusive show of the fest season right at Obscene Extreme 2010!!! We have asked a long-time crossover maniac of this legend for an info article. Now take a minute to read several lines about how it started:

"DIRTY ROTTEN IMBECILES – What should I add? A band that originated back in 1982 and right from the start crushes old school hard core characterized especially by ultrashort songs in a hellish pace (1st LP 18 tracks = 22 minutes… no more words necessary). The band`s name is told to have been invented by a father of one of the band`s mambers while being driven out of a kitchen where they used to have their rehearsal room.. hahaha. That is why the boys chose their name as D.R.I and one of their first songs was named “MADMAN” celebrating the angry father who had run them out of the house. May he have anticipated the band would tour several years afterwards with Slayer or Dead Kennedys and others he would have been more gentle to the teenagers for sure. As for me I must say I heard D.R.I. for the first time at an undisclosed party in a deeply totalitarian time around 1986 when someone came with a smudged emgeton tape and their first album "Dirty Rotten LP“ on it. It was a hit right out of a clear sky. No one has heard anything like this before and as I was a restless boy who had sticked to the motto “ Good is what is fast” I was absolutely enchanted by D.R.I. Thanks to devil I remained as I used to be until today. Their next albums like "Dealing with it!", "Crossover" (an album that gave actually name to the musical genre – something like "Black Metal" from Venom) or e.g. "Thrash Zone" are now absolutely a cult matter. When I learned Èurby had managed to get D.R.I. to Obscene Extreme I did not hesitate a second and organised our summer fests to be able to také part. You can belive me it will be a great experience. Those who might miss it will bitterly regret until their last days!!!!!!!!! That is why OLD SCHOOL DIRTY ROTTEN NEVER DIE!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

ROMPEPROP

A bunch of horror looking guys from the most fetid Dutch canal are going to splash out a bubbling and stinking goregrind gunfire of used tampons and triple folded toilet paper. Bestial vocals combinedwith a brass-bandlike hopping music during which it is not a problem to break your leg due to a freshly regurgitated piece of vomit. Reeking, filthy, cheerful and playful - this is the dudes from ROMPEPROP are like.

INSTINCT OF SURVIVAL

While everyone is desperately trying to sound like Earache would have released their first album in 1988, Instinct Of Survival are cranking it back even further, convincing anyone who’ll listen that Peaceville would have released their first LP in 1986 had they merely formed twenty years earlier. With these old school thrash/grind/punks ripping at their crusty heels, Instinct Of Survival will be giving OEF headliners Doom a reason for not slacking off. Prepare your nostrils for maximum stench!!!

DISFIGURED CORPSE

One of the oldest Czech, still active, extreme band. On the scene almost twenty years!!! With new album „Human Corrosion“ they´ål smash you into the whirl of old school manners, raging from grind, death, through the hardcore and thrash taste. You have to bang your heads, stage dive till death and sing along memorable choruses. DISFIGURED CORPSE are awaiting you into the mosh pit!!!

MISERY INDEX

We are excited to introduce another headliner of this volume to you. Misery Index is a band that has our deep respect both due to the music they play and the DIY ethic they stick to!!! Misery Index are going to release a new album called Heirs To Thievery in May and this year OEF show will be an exclusive one. You will not see them anywhere else in Europe during the summer fest season!!!

The music of Misery Index combines the most intense elements of metal with a distinct grind approach, added with a touch of hardcore and extreme punk attitude and passion, thus pushing the limits of metal with an insane mix of regressive thrashing rhythms, corrupting breakdowns and energetic ferocity. Misery Index sets no limits in their goal of making metal and grind flow together in boundless punishing assaults designed to modernize the classic death and grind metal of the early 90's, drawing influence from Brutal Truth, Disrupt, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, Terrorizer, His Hero is Gone, Bolt Thrower, Assuck and Entombed.

The imagery and lyrical concepts are also very critical to the band, and one can expect that in the true nature of the genre, Misery Index will catapult their ideology and anger to the forefront, and shove the sickness and hypocrisy of this planet right back in the face of all who so quietly accept the status quo...and have fun at the same time.

AMPUTATED

Not many bands split opinion in such extreme ways as the UK's Death/Grinders AMPUTATED...you either love them or completely despise them! Formed in 2002, the primary aim was to become the sickest and most brutal band to hit the then stagnant UK metal scene. Influenced by bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Nunslaughter, Carcass, Lividity, Devourment, Disgorge et al the bands vicious live assault and rebellious nature has made sure that people suitably take notice whether in enjoyment or in disgust!!!

SOCIAL CHAOS

Another import from far Brazil!!! SOCIAL CHAOS present straightforward crust hardcore inspired by the old school bands like HERESY, ANTICIMEX, RATTUS, CONCRETE SOX... Nothing superfluous, just a raw, highly aggresive and harsh music!!!

ARCHAGATHUS

Archagathus are a raw punk/grind band from the Canadian prairies that have been mincing/avoiding showers since 2005. Hernias, drugs, beards and a steady diet of bananas and coffee prevent these 4 mincecore enthusiasts from functioning in regular society. With over 20 releases in the grindcore underground and a combined IQ of 127, Archagathus is stoked to tour europe for the first time in summer 2010. A new LP will be released for this european grindcore experience, as well as various splits and EPs, which serve to complete the forthcoming hurricane of hair, protein, raw grind and sleaze.

WORLD DOWNFALL

This band from Germany whish is called WORLD DOWNFALL has not been named like this by chance!! Their name of course does evoke one of the most brilliant grindcore bands in the world, the divine TERRORIZER!!! And WORLD DOWNFALL continue to keep the hot pace the grind legends once set. Fascinating, harsh and fucking intense grindcore!!!

CUT TO FIT

Finland has delivered an absolutely great band called ROTTEN SOUND!!! CUT TO FIT is another Finnish grind that is performed with enjoyment and a big drive!!!! That is the right way. That is the way we like it at OEF!!!

WASTEFORM

A brutally slamming, american DM hammer with a huge Greg on vocals will be back again… You sure remember their gigs in 2004 and 2006!!! WASTEFORM are just a great live act and this has not changed. They are back in form after several years of silence just preparing a new record that will have its debut at our annual meeting of extreme conspirators!!!

EARDELETE

EARDELETE is not just a really mega brutal gore grind band but also a band absorbing the influences of various extreme styles using them afterwards very cleverly in their music. EARDELETE have just released their 2nd album called "Scalpelogy". You will find just and only tremendously massive and properly catchy riffs, excelently bubbling bass, totally devastating drums and absolutely unhuman vocals!!! We cannot but shout Sick, sick, sick at OEF!!!

TINNER

No speed, no punk! Fucked-up tunes from the tiny Aland islands in Baltic sea. Masked, minimalistic crustcore mayhem brought to you by two finns who now joined forces with a swedish grinder. Let´s just say he is a familiar face to the Obscene Extreme audience. Tinner is not grindcore. Tinner is not powerviolence. Tinner is not black metal. Tinner IS total d-beat destruction! Onward hail!!!

THE SICKENING

Describing the music of the Sickening would be easiest to do if one were to hit ones head against a brick wall first and then sit down and wait for the stars to come up. Fast, relentless, uncompromising death metal with nothing but raw energy to get your blood pumping and your head spinning and your legs and body trembling. This is music to mosh to and destroy your surroundings while you are at it.
