More food & drinks at OEF 2010!!!

It must be stated after the last volume the offer of food at OEF was not as we would have wished… As every year of course you will find just vegan and vegetarian meals at OEF. We have, however, increased the number of food stands. So, almost everybody should be able to choose!!! As always there will be our traditional vegan canteen from Kunvald that is with us for a pretty long time now. This time they will be moved to the upper stands in the auditorium and their menu will offer a range of titbits both traditional as veganburger or grilled tofu sausages and novelties as curry seitan, roast tempeh or even vegan desserts. Another novelty is a stand with vegan macrobiotic food. It should be a mega pure and tasty food including complete menu (soup, main dish, bread or rolls) plus another vegan canteen offering pasta and ratatouille. You will also have the possibility to test local langos, falafel, humus baguettes, potato pancake, roast noodles with vegetables, farmers` potatoes with onion and vegetables, gnocchi with cabbage, mexican beans, vegetable risotto, fried cheese, fried cauliflower, fried champignons, chips, pancakes, fruit salads, vegetable salads, vegetarian ratatouille, pasta and much more.

Except for traditional pubs, bars and beer tents where you can get Gambrinus 10, Velkopopovicky Kozel 11, Pilsner Urquell 12 and non-alcoholic Birell you will for sure welcome a stand with absith and a brand new OEF cafe offering a wide range of quality coffee - espresso, latté, flavoured latté, cappuccino, frappé, irish caffé, hot chocolate etc. plus something small for breakfast as pastry backed on-site or baked stuffed baguettes.

D.R.I. - only European show this year!!!

There were some rumors about D.R.I. at OEF 2010 (maybe 'coz they don't announce OEF show on their myspace, but it doesn't matter at all), we can say that we sent them their flights and fee and there's no one problem with their way to OEF stage!!! Kurt Brecht just sent us short email few days ago. We will regale crossover titans in ONLY date in Europe this year!!! Wear your dirty denim jacket and enjoy 70 minutes of D.R.I. classic songs!!!

LOOKING FOR AN ASWER can´t play OEF 2010!!!

We have some bad news today, LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER can´t go on tour and play OEF, hard to say something in those bad times, just stay strong and see you in 2011!!! Another band that cancelled their show at OEF is THE SICKENING from Norway so we had to book 2 bands and it wasn't that easy, it's just 2 weeks to festival start so we choose Czech grindcore machine NEEDFUL THINGS (www.myspace.com/needfulthingsgrindcore) and promising Slovakian grindcore outfit MIZAR (www.myspace.com/mizargrind)!!!

Statement from LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER :

"Really bad news from LFAA, due seriously personal problems of one of us we are forced to cancel the OEF show and the rest of the tour dates, we're absolutely fucked up about that but there's no alternative, we took a really hard decision, we can't do the tour while one of us are involved into a hard and painful personal situation. We talked with Curby and he totally understand our decision, Curby promised us a place for LFAA at OEF 2011 so if things go well, we'll see you in Trutnov next year."

“The 20th year celebration of the Necrology EP goes on and General Surgery has decided to perform it in its entirety at Obscene Extreme Festival for all you demented freaks out there. This is only the second time this has happened, and will most likely be the last for a long time so don't miss out! PUTRESCENCE cancelled, PSYCHOTIC DESPAIR will play OEF!!!

Canadian grind/death outfit can't fly to Europe this summer so they cancelled their show, see official statement below...we booked another great band, Czech death/grind maniacs PSYCHOTIC DESPAIR!!! PSYCHOTIC released really awesome new album "Personal Identity" and they're one of the best Czech live bands...See bands page for more info about them...

"Putrescence is disheartened to announce the cancellation of the planned European tour for July 2010. As a result of recent legal and passport issues, two members of the band suddenly find it impossible to leave Canada during the planned time frame. A lot of work has gone into making this return to European soil possible and the band apologizes to all involved, especially the guys in Neuropathia, Luuk at Doomstar and Curby/Obscene Productions as well as the promoters willing to help us out, our friends we were looking forward to seeing as well as anyone with an interest in seeing us play."
